Outdoor Junkie respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through the current prelaunch version of OutdoorJunkie.ca. It covers the landing page, email signup and contact inquiries. It does not yet cover online purchases; this policy will be updated before the store opens.
Information we collect
When you join the Outdoor Junkie email list, we collect the email address you provide. If you contact us, we also collect the information contained in your message and any contact details you choose to provide.
Our Shopify website and service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website and cookie data. This information helps operate, secure and understand the use of the website.
How we use your information
We use personal information to send the launch news, collection previews, limited-drop announcements and other Outdoor Junkie updates you requested; respond to questions; operate, secure and improve the website; and meet legal obligations or prevent misuse. We will not use your information for a new purpose without consent unless permitted or required by law.
Consent and email choices
Joining the email list is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting hello@outdoorjunkie.ca. After you unsubscribe, we will stop sending marketing emails, although we may retain limited information where reasonably necessary to honour your request or comply with law.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers, including Shopify and providers that support website hosting, email delivery, analytics or security. They may use the information only as needed to provide their services to Outdoor Junkie or as required by law.
Some providers may process or store information outside Canada. When that happens, the information may be subject to the laws of the country where it is processed.

Shopify and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure the website and measure website use. You can control many cookies through your browser settings, but disabling certain cookies may affect how the website works.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, services or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.
